  • Which measurement method is the best?

    There’s no clear-cut answer to that. It really depends on your situation, of course.

    If you’ve never measured OEE before, we advise you to use paper at first. This way, the operators learn about OEE. Once you’ve transferred the measurements into Cierpa OEE directly, you get an instant overview of your instances of waste.

    If you already have experience with OEE, you can choose between digital and real-time. We have customers that use digital measuring on lines with few failures and real-time on lines with many failures. Other customers take a different approach.

    Basically, a lot is possible. We like to think with you on the solution that’s best for you.

  • How long does the implementation take?

    That depends on the measurement method you choose. Starting with paper enables you to get going after day one. The implementation trajectories may take from one to six weeks.   • Does the software run on-premises?

    Cierpa software is available both via the Cloud and as on-premise. With on-premise we mean: the Cierpa software runs on your own server(s) and you take care of management & backups yourself. From the Cloud, Cierpa provides secure servers and management.

  • What is the OEE formula?

    With the OEE formula you measure the productivity of machines and production lines. How do you apply the OEE formula exactly and what does the outcome tell you? Read the blog The OEE formula.

  • Can Cierpa OEE make use of existing sensors and other measurement systems?

    Yes, Cierpa OEE is suitable for existing sensors and measurement systems. For common situations such as use of PLCs, ready-made couplings are available. In other situations Cierpa can add a custom-made coupling.

  • How do I train my people on Cierpa OEE?

    Yes, that's possible. The most chosen solution is an own hosted OEE server to which the real-time signals are sent and which is also used as a web server to display the OEE reports.

  • Does the software also work on a tablet?

    Yes, although most tablets have trouble switching between a data connection and a local Wi-Fi network. This will sometimes cause the connection to the OEE screens to be lost.

  • We already have a database with a lot of information. Can you use it for your system?

    We will always set up a separate database for the OEE system. If desired, a database link can be set up between these two systems, but we prefer to get the data as close to the source as possible. This way we always know for sure that we are working with the correct data.

  • Which languages can I choose from?

    Dutch, English, German, French, Polish. You can easily add a new language.
